Ziggy`s in Montreal

Best late night spot in town !

Ziggy is AMAZING. Dude has been in business for 24 years and knows his stuff. He's a friend of Trudeau and Leonard Cohen (God rest his soul) used to write there. He would drink a Macallan 12 year and Perrier. Great place! His hats for sale are hilarious!

Best pub downtown MTL to watch soccer....Ziggy makes good bloody Mary's too!

Hands down the BEST DIVE bar in town!! Cheap drinks, great atmosphere and always a fun night!! I understand this place is not for everyone but Ziggy's does not pretend to be anything but who they are!!

It's a pretty fun place to go to watch games, the owner Ziggy is always around and very nice to chat to. The place is a bit dated by has a pretty decent beer list and characters.

Very deceiving service, I had a bunch of friends visiting Montreal so I suggested we went to Ziggy's because I've always heard good things about that place... So the ambiance and the decor were pretty cool, the place was relatively empty and we still managed to get a horrible service. We just wanted to get our round of drinks and the waitress was very demeaning. On top of which, when we asked to split the bill halfway she refused and said that we had to sort things out ourselves. Finally, the bill included the tip which is not supposed to be the case in Quebec. AND THE PERCENTAGE FOR THE TIP WAS 22%! Working in the restaurant industry myself, I find that insulting to impose such a high tip to clients that had received such an unpleasant service. We finally payed what she wanted because we didn't want to further ruin our night. But definitely never going back.

Great sports bar with amazing history

Cozy snug in the midst of chaos. Really warm place to grab a drink. Classic bar and friendly staff.

It's a proper done bar. They make no pretentions otherwise. Bartenders are very friendly

I visit Ziggys everytime I go to Montreal. It has that English pub feel. The choices of beer on tap are good, prices great, the people are friendly and welcoming, lots of locals and regulars. Ziggy is the best!!!

Very cozy English/American/Quebecois pub in downtown. It's in the lower floor, having a great and interesting ambiance - it's particularly a sport theme bar (hockey, American football, etc). They play some good classic songs.The beer was great, and good prices.5 stars for the nostalgic ambience and mainly very friendly bartenders!It's great to come alone for a beer, with friends to celebrate or for a date as well

If you're a hockey fan you must go there! Ziggy is almost always there. Fun sports bar!

Nice cosy bar. Offers cider, apfelkorn, good selection of beer and other drinks. Can bring your own food, since food is not sold there.

A local bar on a tourist street... the best of both worlds. It's not for everybody, and that suits me fine.

Breathalizer is broken. Did not indicate any alcohohol level for me and my friend!

Came here on a bachelor party and could not have had more fun!! They set us up in our own area and were very accommodating!!! Our bartender Kimberly was fantastic and Ziggy bought us some shots of Quebec's famous maple syrup liquor. Clearly a great place to watch a Canadiens game as hockey was on all the TVs and memorabilia was all over the walls. Can't recommend this place highly enough!!!

WORST SERVICE EVER. I’m never recommending this place. If I could give a 0 start i’d do it. I’ve never, never, never had that bad service in none of the bars and clubs in Montreal. The blond bartender, which was on Saturday night was very disrespectful and he didn’t want to give us the glasses ‘till the tip was received, and after that he received my tip (which I considered appropriate for the service I received) and he threw it straight to the floor. It seemed that he was bothered cos we ordered in french when in Montreal the official language is that one. Plus where are in Quebec P.s. the owner of the place is always drunk, and he does nothing about it, even if he is there seeing what happens. Don’t waste your time and your money.

Our fave REAL bar!

Really fun place with jukebox. Good crowd. Friendly bartenders. 2nd time there and will make a stop there every trip to Montreal from now on.

Unfortunately, there was a pee smell when we went there, so we left after a minute. The place is small, there was a soccer game on TV... I would have liked to give it a better try, too bad.

I took a Bros trip to Montreal with some of my closest friends and my dad to watch the Montreal Canadiens absolutely destroy my Detroit Red Wings, but we didn't let that get in the way of a good time and Ziggy's was an integral part of that experience. The bartenders were awesome and the prices were extremely reasonable. Out of all of the establishments I visited in my time in Montreal I think this may have been my favorite bar.

Good place to watch sports. Good music too but that’s controlled by the people on the jukebox. Drinks a bit expensive.
